Electronic Processing Software
The HoloFringe300K interferometry
program is used for the real-time interferometry configurations of holography,
shearography, speckle correlation, and projected fringe moiré. This program replaces the special purpose
image processing boards that have been previously sold with the K/100 optical
systems. The optical heads have been
upgraded to use a CCD TV camera with a direct digital GigE output. This digital output is fed directly into a
high-speed computer with dual CPUs, thus eliminating aliasing associated with
separate digitization and lowering camera noise. The program collects and processes this data
to provide the same holography functions as the earlier processor boards. The new cameras provide 300 Kbyte images with
640 x 480 square pixels, and the resulting images maintain their aspect ratio
when exported to other image processing programs. In addition, diagnostic functions such as the
ability to read a horizontal or vertical lane of pixel values, or to read pixel
values within a designated box, can be easily exported to spread sheet programs
for data processing and display.
